Soberanía Visual
Book
2022

  • Soberanía Visual (Visual Sovereignty) is a book authored by María Acaso and Clara Megías, which delves into how images shape our ways of life, often without our conscious awareness. Drawing inspiration from the notion of food sovereignty –which involves the right to determine our dietary choices–, the authors apply it to the realm of visual consumption. Visual sovereignty entails the right to dictate our personal consumption of visual content for mastering the management of the images we ingest.

I was commissioned to create an image for the cover and to portrait the book's authors and collaborators. Also, I collaborated with a series of images that illustrate some of the contents of the book.
